Shakespeare in the Supreme

Rehearsed readings in the supreme Court Library

The Law Library of Victoria and BottledSnail Productions presents Shakespeare in the Supreme: a series of rehearsed play readings.

These rehearsed readings are performed in the Supreme Court Library. Each of the performances is directed by the Artistic Director of BottledSnail Productions, Nicky Neville-Jones, who also directed the company's 2019 major theatrical production of The Laramie Project at Chapel Off Chapel.

Our 2025 performance dates are:
Wednesday 26 February and Thursday 27 February
Wednesday 19 November and Thursday 20 November

All performances are from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Ticketing information will be available on this website in the leadup to each performance.

For further information about this project or to express your interest as a reader in an upcoming performance, please contact Nicky Neville-Jones at nicky.neville-jones@bottledsnail.com.

In addition, as part of the Australian Heritage Festival, on Sunday 17 May 2025 at 2pm, members of the Shakespeare in the Supreme project will perform a reading of Shakespeare’s Winter’s Tale in the beautiful historic surrounds of the Old Bendigo Law Courts. Click here for more information.
